Auctions are created from an existing product of yours that does not have an auction yet: go to Create auction in the vendor area and set a start price, minimum increment, optionally a reserve price and buy-now price, and an end date.

The auctions feature must be enabled for your vendor account; if it is not, you will see a notice when you try to create one.
